Hey Guys,
Just a little post for this evening. A sample of some lovely cards that I received for my birthday recently that might inspire you. Thank you friends, as you have led me on a path of discovery of new artists and studios. It's always refreshing to find new inspiration.
First up is this cute little cat card by Petra Boase. It was given to me by an illustrator friend who has great taste and always buys lovely cards. I hadn't heard of Petra and my friend thought that I might like her work. She was indeed correct. Petra has an online shop where she sells greetings cards, baby grows and other beautiful items. This card is perfect for me as I refer to my tabby cat as the patterned cat.
Next, a card from a an old friend who also has great taste and in fact my favourite Christmas card was from her. This card is just pure fun! The quirky illsutration is by Ashley Percival for Brainbox Candy. Ashely is another new discovery for me and he's got some really quirky illustrations on his website.
This one is just cute and a fab card from a friend who knows me far too well. This is a Paperlink card.
Another cute card. I just think it's really nice and I love the colours. It came all the way from friends in Australia by way of Paper Bark.
A lovely card from my husband! He does well but then he knows not to buy a designer a bad card. He hasn't managed to venture further than M&S yet. I'm lucky they always have a great selection! I love the wooden dec and the fact that the pattern continues on the inside of the card.
I actually bought this one for my husband's birthday so of course I like it. It's exactly the kind of humour he appreciates. It's by Ohh Deer and I always enjoy their stuff as they feature work by some awesome illustrators.
I love this bear card because it's such a fun illustration. It feels very celebratory and yet the bear is totally nonplussed! Love the pompom. I want this party hat!
Lastly, this lovely card. Not only is it a sweet card, it was a lovely suprise and I really was suprised and even a bit confused at first. I haven't had grandparents since I was 14. This card was sent to me by my husband's grandparents and I was really touched. Thanks Nan and Pops! x
