Monday Mention: 2

Hi Everyone! It's time for the "Monday Mention" again. I'm quickly typing this while my little Isak is taking a nap. Part of the balancing act of of being a busy self-employed Mum!

I've got two brilliant creatives that I'm excited to introduce you to this month. First up is Rosie Edwards!

I had the privilege of working with Rosie last year. She's a very talented designer, a pleasure to work with and I'd highly recommend her. Since graduating from University, she has gained invaluable commercial experience as a greetings designer. Her designs are fresh and contemporary and I've watched Rosie's style evolve over the last few months as she has focused more on characters. She recently created a cute mini series of "owners who look like their canine companions".

Rosie studied textiles at university and this influence is evident in the textures and shapes that she creates. The top left image "Stargazing" is a personal favourite of mine. I love the textures and her colour palette is really refreshing. I think this would be perfect as an editorial illustration!

In her spare time Rosie is taking part in the 100 Day Project, creating nature-themed illustrations and hoping to further develop her drawing and technical skills. Rosie is available for freelance commissions. To get in touch, head over to her website where you can also view her full portfolio. You can keep up to date with her most recent work on Instagram @rosieedwardsdesigns.

Next, I'd like to introduce to Charlotte Taylor. By day Charlotte is a talented greeting's designer who I've also had the pleasure of working with. Like myself she's a Mum to a gorgeous little boy and I know only too well how hard it is to juggle having a career and being a parent! Charlotte blows me away as alongside working and parenting she also manages a successful side hustle. She's the owner and designer of beautiful jewellery by Charlotte Mari.

Charlotte creates contemporary and meaningful designs that often feature hand-stamped and personalised messages. She creates rings, stacking rings, earrings, bracelet cuffs and many more beautiful jewellery items. One of my favourites is this personalised interlocking rings necklace. Charlotte puts so much love and care into everything she creates. She has great attention to detail and packages her designs beautifully as well. You can purchase Charlotte's designs via her Etsy shop.

She also sells her jewellery at local craft stalls and occasionally runs ring-making workshops. Keep an eye on her Facebook page for upcoming events! Check out her Instagram @charlottemaridesign to see her most recent work.

If you think that I'd like your work and would like to be featured on this blog, please head over to my website and send me a message xx
